I discovered the calanques in 2009. This wonderful mixture of the sea, white rocks and deep blue sky fascinates me. I’d like to note that the Calanques National Park is one of the most visited in Europe. There are about 20 calanques – narrow bays with rocky banks.

There are several hiking routes of different difficulty levels in this area. We chose a “blue” one – as for me, it the most picturesque. The route goes near the calanque edge, so we have an opportunity to full enjoy magnificent views of the sea and of the sun.

After 20 min of slow walking, we go down to the fairy Port Pin bay (La Calanque de Port-Pin). This is an unreally beautiful place, lazure water calls to bathe during any season. This is a great place for a picnic. To sit and to think how happy you are to be here.

After getting a bit used to the bright nature colors, we go around the by. Later we can see the open sea, the Cap Canaille and a neighbour calanque d’en Vau.
