Blossoming lavender fields are one of the Provence visiting cards and a worldwide known Provençal brand. Our tour will provide you with an opportunity to feel its aroma and charm. We will begin with the Lavender Museum, where you will learn a lot of interesting things about the lavender, including the Provençal traditions concerning the lavender and how it is used in luxury cosmetics and perfumes production.
We will continue our tour by visiting a picturesque ancient city of Gordes, located in the Luberon valley. After taking a look at the city view photo, many people immediately want to go there and see it. One can see the Gordes streets in A Good Year, a 2006 film directed and produced by Ridley Scott.
After the Gordes, we will visit the Cistercian Notre-Dame de Senanque Abbey, established in the XII century. The Abbey is still a monastery now, occupied by a community of Cistercian monks since 1148. The Abbey is one of the most beautiful and ancient ones in Provence. It is a historic monument and a wonderful example of a medieval abbey. One of the most well-known (and recognised) Provençal lavender fields is located within the Abbey territory.
