We will visit the Aix-en-Provence city center major sights. Starting from the La Rotonde fountain, we will explore the Cours Mirabeau with its famous fountains, cafes, and buildings of several epochs. Then we will proceed to the picturesque City Hall and to the majestic Cathedral of the Holy Saviour on the north of the medieval part of the city.

  • We will begin our journey from the beautiful Fontaine de la Rotonde. Next, we will walk along the ancient Cours Mirabeau, where you will hear interesting facts about the city history. We will have some coffee at the famous Les 2 Garçons (1792), a place where Paul Cézanne, Émile Zola and Ernest Hemingway spent quite a lot of time,
  • Then we will go to the City Hall. Ancient bourgeois architecture and luxury residencies will take you to the Renaissance epoch. Numerous boutiques of local sweets – nougat and calissons – won’t let us pass through easily and will illustrate the local traditions history,
  • We will visit the majestic Cathedral of the Holy Saviour – the national monument of France, which includes the architectural elements of all epochs from the 5 to the 17 centuries,
  • Finally, we will have a walk back to the Fontaine de la Rotonde along the charming cosy streets and picturesque squares of Aix.
